If you suffer from small breasts or from changes after pregnancy and breastfeeding (reduction in breast volume and firmness), breast augmentation may be an option. This can be achieved surgically through a breast augmentation procedure.
1The Procedure
Breast augmentation is performed under general anesthesia and typically takes 1-2 hours. The surgeon makes incisions in inconspicuous areas to minimize visible scarring, such as in the crease under the breast, around the areola, or in the armpit.
Through these incisions, the surgeon creates a pocket either directly behind the breast tissue or beneath the chest wall muscle. The implant is then inserted into this pocket and positioned for optimal appearance.
2Implant Options
There are various types of breast implants available, including silicone gel and saline-filled implants. Each type has its own advantages in terms of look and feel. During your consultation, we will discuss which option might be best suited for your body type and desired outcome.
Recovery
After surgery, patients typically experience soreness, swelling, and bruising for a few weeks. Most patients can return to work within 1-2 weeks and resume normal activities within 4-6 weeks. We provide detailed aftercare instructions to ensure optimal healing and results.
Consultation
During your consultation, we will discuss your goals, evaluate your anatomy, and determine the most appropriate surgical approach for your specific case. We will also address any questions or concerns you may have about the procedure.
